“There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes
By the deep sea, and music in its roar.”- Lord George Byron
Port Cottage is perfectly located for exploring everything the 12 Apostles coastline and hinterland offers - from the incredible natural beauty of the raging seas and flora and fauna, to the walking paths and artisan producers dotted along Australia’s iconic Great Ocean Road.
Nestled in the heart of the coastal village of Port Campbell on Eastern Maar Country, Port Cottage is one of the area’s original beach houses. It is tucked away in an enviable location opposite the Port Campbell National Park and is only a short walk to the town’s shops and beach.
Lovingly renovated in 2021-22 and styled by Belle Hemming, Port Cottage has its own unique character reminiscent of the Shipwreck Coast’s history.
We have gone to great lengths to make the cottage a memorable place to stay; everything has been chosen for a reason, underpinned by sustainability and support for local businesses.
The cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six guests in two queen-sized beds and two long single beds. There is also a bathroom with a bath made for long soaks, a kitchen for preparing grand feasts and an outdoor area with a table, outdoor shower and laundry with a walk-in shower and sink. Perfect for those days when you get back from the beach.
Listen to the waves crash against the limestone cliffs as you fall asleep.
For weary souls and adventurers alike, the choice is all yours whether you decide to snuggle up on the couch with a good book, play a game of quoits on the lawn or feel the pinch of the salt air on your cheeks while walking one of the many coastal tracks.

“The pace here is slow and although there is a bit more bustle in town during the summer months, there is still very much the feeling of the kind of holidays enjoyed with family decades ago.”
